Exhausted in solidarity
Seeming disqualified
From the life I dreamed of
Struggling to realign my focus
Feeling completely unnoticed
Unnecessary
Uninvited
Unqualified
Tears burn hot
As they trickle down my face
Wondering if my time
Will ever truly be
Or is this solitude
Where He intends me to stay
And if so, how do I let go
The dreams of MY heart
That were never meant to be
And continue to live the life
He has given me
With joy, intent, and purpose
How do I leave the dreams
Of my selfish self behind
And embrace this life of solidarity
Believing I’m complete
Knowing He is all I need
Not feeling so alone
Be still my heart and mind
Father help me know that
You are God
And you are always
With me
